Programming Objective:
This seminar is dedicated to accounting and finance professionals in the context of a recap of some major areas of HKAS 32 and 39 “Financial Instruments”. It will cover the definition and application of fixed‐to‐fixed rule and amortised cost, and the accounting treatments of different convertible bonds (from both the perspective of the issuers and investors). It will also cover the application of amortised cost in relation to changes in cash flows and modification of terms. The seminar will include several illustrative examples in order to strengthen your understanding of these areas.
