Program Objective:
HKFRS 15 “Revenue from Contracts with Customers” establishes principles for reporting useful information to users of financial statements about the nature, amount, timing and uncertainty of revenue and cash flows arising from an entity’s contracts with customers. HKFRS 15 supersedes HKAS 11 “Construction Contracts”, HKAS 18 “Revenue” and 4 other Interpretations.
This seminar is a comprehensive presentation of the requirements of HKFRS 15 which include the 5 steps of recognising revenue, contract costs and presentation. The seminar will also include the following specific guidance in HKFRS 15:
- Warranties
- Principal versus agent considerations
- Customer options for additional goods or services
- Significant financing component in contract
- Non-cash consideration
- Consideration payable to a customer
- Licensing

Mr. Chan is experienced in auditing and corporate finance activities, and is well versed with International/Hong Kong Financial Reporting and Auditing Standards. He is experienced in providing technical support to audit firms in relation to audit and other assurance engagements of listed companies. He is an active speaker on IFRS/HKFRS matters. Mr. Chan is a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
His main duties in the firm are to provide technical support on financial reporting and auditing matters. He oversees the overall quality assurance of the firm and is also responsible for matters regarding ethics and training.
